Gifts

Mazarati for gift. If I got a mozarati for Christmas it would be a miracle.

Jesus, free will, Garden of Eden, Tree of life, Tree of knowledge, health, riches, sleep, Night, day, companion ship, procreation,Bible. These are gifts from God.

God gave us all we could ask for. Even the ability to do what God detests.

Chuck happen to talk on Discipline and the troubles that befall the children of God and children of sin alike.

 Hebrews 12:4‑13

In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.  [5] And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as sons:

"My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline,

and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,

[6] because the Lord disciplines those he loves,

and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son."

[7] Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father?  [8] If you are not disciplined (and everyone undergoes discipline), then you are illegitimate children and not true sons.  [9] Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of our spirits and live!  [10] Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness.  [11] No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

There is more then just discipline and punishment.  The Gift of free will has allowed man to partake in what is corrupt and detrimental to all man.  All men have the free will to kill if they choose, to steal, lie, abuse, to become drunk, wrongfully treat their children, to will fully spread disease and on and on.

So, when a child is born handicapped it could be the result of generations of abusing one or many things.  Or simply the result of a problem at birth.  The death of another can be the result of a stranger’s choice.

God promised not to let us be over burdened but He did not promise to give us complete immunity form pain.

This leads Quite naturally into miracles.

The lame walk, the blind see, cancer is cured, a sore healed, a child born to those whom were barren, a lost ring is found.

These are miracles and the key to miracles is faith.  We are a people of weak faith.  We can ask for small miracles and expect results, but the big ones elude us.

Many in our church believe the days of miracles have gone.  However, they continue to pray.  I feel that every time a prayer is answered it is a miracle.  I also feel the stronger the faith the greater the miracles we can receive.

 Matthew 14:25‑33

During the fourth watch of the night Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake.  [26] When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. "It's a ghost," they said, and cried out in fear.

[27] But Jesus immediately said to them: "Take courage! It is I. don’t be afraid."

[28] "Lord, if it's you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water."

   [29] "Come," he said.

Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.  [30] But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!"

[31] Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?"

[32] And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down.  [33] Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, "Truly you are the Son of God."

So, if I pray and do not expect a miracle then why do I pray? I do believe if one had suffent faith today and God willed it, they could cure the blind.

There is one problem. I may have the faith but God may not will what I want.  He gave me free will but not, free rain. So, when someone says to you or me this is a result of your lack of faith remember there are two parts.  Your faith and Gods will.

For best results link your free will to Gods will. Miracles do happen today, but the best miracle happened on the cross and in the tomb.
